Nunn Design elements combine to create this alluring Marrakesh-style necklace. Antiqued silver flat tags are glazed in two tones of epoxy resin. The pendant is connected to cable chain using 8mm twisted rope jump rings, and features an oxidized mum charm.

Instructions

In addition to the materials listed, you will also need a few toothpicks, a face mask, and some disposable gloves to complete this project. Be sure to cover your work surface when working with resin and pigment. These instructions will make an 18 inch necklace. To modify the size, adjust the length of chain on either side respectively.

Start by watching the video: How to Use Eurotool's Two Hole Metal Punch Tool. Using what you have learned in the video, make a 2.3mm hole in the center on the curved side of your half circle flat tag (see photo for reference).
To mix and color your resin: Begin by watching this video on how to mix Nunn Design resin and Castin Craft pigment to use on flat tags.
Put on your disposable gloves and face mask. Based on the instructions in the video in step 2, measure your resin and stir with a popsicle stick until all striations are gone. Then color a portion of your resin white using the following ration of pigments to resin: 1 tsp Nunn Design Resin, 8 toothpicks White. Mix thoroughly.
In a separate mixing cup, color a portion of your resin purple using the following ratio of pigments to resin: 1 tsp Nunn Design Resin, 1 tiny toothpick tip Blue, 1 toothpick tip Red, and 2 toothpick tips Opaque White. Mix thoroughly.
Next, use the tip of a clean toothpick to carefully apply the desired amount of purple resin onto the Marrakesh drop flat tag. Then apply the desired amount of Opaque White resin onto the half circle flat tag. Allow the resin to cure in a dust-free area for three days.
To connect your flat tags: Open an 8mm twisted rope jump ring and slide on the hole of the half circle flat tag which you made in step 1. Also slide on the hole of your Marrakesh drop flat tag. Close the jump ring.
To attach your chain: Use flush cutters to cut two 8 inch lengths of flat cable chain. Open an 8mm twisted rope jump ring and slide on the hole on one side of your half circle flat tag. Also slide on the end link of one chain length. Close the jump ring. Repeat this step to attach chain to the other side of your half circle flat tag.
To attach your clasp: Open the end link of chain on one side of your necklace the same way you would open a jump ring, and slide on the loop of your clasp. Close the link. Repeat this step on the opposite side of your necklace, this time sliding on one 8mm twisted rope jump ring. Close the link. All done!
