A black cat sits regally on this fanciful cocktail ring featuring bead embroidery with a picot edge. Wear it to show your Halloween spirit, or anytime you're feeling a bit mysterious.

Instructions

Cut a 2 x 2" piece of beading foundation.
Use a toothpick or scrap piece of wire to spread a thin, even coat of E6000 glue onto the back of an 18x25mm lucite oval cameo, and press it firmly onto the center of the piece of beading foundation. Allow the glue to dry for at least an hour before moving on.
Cut a 3' length of black NYMO nylon beading thread and thread a size 12 beading needle with it. Using black Toho 11/0 seed beads, complete a row of backstitch bead embroidery around the cameo.
Carefully trim the beading foundation around your bead embroidered shape.
Glue your beaded piece onto a piece of black ultra suede using Crafter's Pick permanent glue. Allow to dry for at least an hour before moving on.
Carefully trim the ultra suede around your beaded piece.
Cut a 3' length of NYMO and thread your needle with it. Use the black 11/0 seed beads and black 15/0 seed beads to add a picot beaded edge to your work. The stitching should be with the larger seed beads, using the 15/0s only for the picot beads.
Use a toothpick or scrap piece of wire to apply a thin, even coat of E6000 to the glue pad on a glue on ring finding. Place your beaded piece face down and center the ring finding onto the back. Press firmly, allow to dry for at least an hour before moving on.
