Retired - Arcosanti Necklace

1. If you are new to viking knit, please watch our video: How to do Viking Knit With the Lazee Daizee. Using what you have learned in the video, begin by using flush cutters to cut approximately 30 inches of 24 gauge brown Artistic Wire, and load the end of the wire onto the Lazee Daizee tool as shown in the video.
2. Follow along with the video to weave a length of raw viking knit approximately 5 inches long. To refine your weave, pull your length of raw viking knit through the holes of your draw plate as shown in the video, working your way down to the 3/16 size hole. Trim your weave to 7 inches, or your desired length.
3. To prepare your pendant, string your turquoise oval onto a 2 inch headpin and make a wrapped wire loop above the stone. Be sure to latch the loop of your wire wrap onto the bottom loop of your bail before coiling the wrap.
4. To attach chain on either side of your viking knit, use flush cutters to cut two 4.5 inch lengths of chain. Then watch the video: How to Add a Cord End Cap to Viking Knit. Attach one end cap to your length of viking knit as shown in the video, again remembering to latch the loop of your wrap onto the end link of one of your chain lengths before coiling the wrap.
5. Next, add your turquoise pendant to the necklace by stringing the top loop of your bail onto your viking knit piece.
6. Repeat step 4 to attach an end cap and chain onto the opposite side of your necklace.
7. To add your clasp, open a 6mm jump ring. Slide it through the last link on one side of the chain, and also slide on the loop of your clasp. Close the jump ring.
8. Open another jump ring. Slide on the last link of chain on the opposite side of the necklace. Close the jump ring. Enjoy your necklace!
