Retired - Woodland Birds Bracelet

1. Please watch the video: How to Use the Vintaj Big Kick Machine to Etch and Emboss Metal Stampings. Using what you have learned in the video, take your square connector link and place it into the Vintaj Woodland Birds DecoEmboss Die over the pair of birds in the top center. Position the die onto the BIGkick machine and run it through, as shown in the video.
2. Next, emboss your blank stamping button by placing the button into the Vintaj Woodland Birds DecoEmboss Die over the leaves in the top right. Repeat the above step to run the die through the BIGkick machine.
3. Use the side of your Vintaj Relief Block to buff the raised areas of your connector link and button to show off the detail on both sides.
4. Now take your embossed square connector link and use bracelet bending pliers to bend the link in a slightly convex curve to better fit the wrist (see photo for reference).
5. Using flush cutters, cut 1 foot of leather cord, and attach it onto the left side of your connector link by tying a lark's head knot. Repeat this step on the right side of the connector link.
6. Using pliers, open one brass crimp cover and close it over the two strands of leather cord on the left side of your connector link next to the lark's head knot (see photo for reference). Close the crimp cover. Repeat this step on the right side of the connector link.
7. To create the loop for your button on the left side of your bracelet, measure 2.5 inches from the crimp cover you just attached, and add another crimp cover over both strands of leather cord the same way you did in the above step. Measure another inch along the cord, and repeat this process to add one more crimp cover. Clip the ends of the leather cord to the desired lengths.
8. To attach your button on the right side of your bracelet, measure 3 inches from the crimp cover you just attached, and add another crimp cover over both strands of leather cord the same way you did in the above step.
9. Take your button and string each of the two ends of leather cord through two adjacent holes of the button (see photo for reference). Then tie the remainder of the leather cord into an overhand knot against the opposite side of the button. Clip the ends of the leather cord to the desired lengths. Enjoy your bracelet!
