Retired - Trichrome Necklace

1. Please watch the video: How to Make the Serpentine Spiral Earrings. Using what you have learned about wire-wrapping seed beads onto a form, begin by cutting 1 foot of 24 gauge copper wire.
2. Take your copper paddle pendant and attach one end of your wire onto the bottom of the form just above the flat paddle portion by coiling twice around the form to anchor your wire as shown in the video (see photo for reference). Clip and tuck the end of your wire.
3. String one 8/0 seed bead onto your wire so that it lays on one side of your paddle, and coil the wire twice around your paddle pendant.
4. String on another 8/0 seed bead so that it lays on the opposite side of your paddle, and coil twice around your paddle pendant.
5. Repeat the above step 9 more times to wire wrap a total of 11 beads onto your paddle, alternating from side to side. Half way through your wire-wrapping, gently pull your wrapped beads down toward the bottom of the form to create more space for wrapping the remaining beads onto the pendant.
6. Create two final coils just below the top loop of the paddle pendant to end your wire-wrapping, clip and tuck your wire.
7. To assemble your necklace, begin by using flush cutters to cut 6 inches of beading wire. Also cut two 7 inch lengths of antiqued copper chain.
8. String a crimping bead onto your beading wire, then string on the end link of one length of chain. Use a crimping tool to crimp your bead. Clip the excess beading wire.
9. Using pliers, attach a crimp cover over the bead you just crimped.
10. String twelve 8/0 seed beads onto your beading wire.
11. Hang your pendant as follows: String on one loop of your angular form, one seed bead, the loop of your paddle pendant, one seed bead, and the other loop of your angular form (see photo for reference).
12. String on twelve more 8/0 seed beads, then repeat steps 8 and 9 to attach the opposite side of your beading wire to your other length of chain using a crimp bead and crimp cover.
13. To attach your clasp, open a 6mm jump ring. Slide it through the last link on one side of the chain, and also slide on the loop of your clasp. Close the jump ring.
14. Open another jump ring. Slide on the last link of chain on the other side of the necklace. Close the jump ring. Enjoy your necklace!
