Delicate Czech glass pearls nestle together in these feminine earrings, hugged by a layer of clear, glossy resin.
Instructions

Note: Components and tools listed within this INSTRUCTIONS box and the printer-friendly PDF, if available, may have been discontinued since this project was published. Refer to the PURCHASE COMPONENTS and TOOLS AND OTHER SUPPLIES sections for current availability.

In addition to the materials listed above, you will also need a clean paint brush, a small disposable mixing cup, a clean popsicle stick for stirring, and some disposable gloves. By following the instructions below you will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring.
  1. First, watch our video on how to use Vintaj patinas and glaze. Use a paint brush to paint the pink patina onto the interior of your bezel, making sure to coat the whole surface evenly. Wait a few hours for it to dry.
  2. Once the patina is dry, begin gluing the Czech glass pearls into the bezel using Crafter's Pick. Everything not glued down will float in the resin, so you want each pearl to be secure! You can use tweezers or your fingers to glue each pearl in place. See the photo for reference, or place them in your own pattern.
  3. Wait until the Crafter's Pick has dried clear before moving onto the next phase of the project. Watch our video on how to use Ice Resin.
  4. Put on your disposable gloves. Based on the technique shown in the video, mix the resin and stir with a popsicle stick. When it is fully mixed, use the stick to drip the resin into the bezel a few drops at a time until it reaches the edges of the bezel. The pearls may not be fully covered by the resin layer, but the resin will disperse through them and capture them. Remove any air bubbles with a torch.
  5. Allow the resin to cure in a dust-free area for three days.
  6. When the resin is cured, open an earring wire and slide it through the loop on the top of the bezel pendant. All done!
