1. Begin by cutting two lengths of chain, 11.5 inches each. Ending on both sides with a larger link. Set aside.
2. Please watch our video: How to Bead Weave Circular Brick Stitch Around a Ring. From what you learned in the video, you will use a similar technique with the bead frames. The major difference is that instead of going around the outside of the frame you will be using the inner holes to thread through. This is the advantage of using the bead frames as opposed to a regular ring.
3. Start with the 16.5mm frame. Cut off a length of thread that you are comfortable working with. You may need to tie off and add more thread as you work. Begin with a row of blue beads, then step up with a row rose gold beads, then a row of blue beads and a row of white beads. When you come to the row of white beads you will be catching the end of the chain in the bead weaving. (Please see Close Up Photo for reference). There should be six white beads in between the two pieces of chain. Just weave as you normally would, but before you add the next bead, thread through the loop of the chain link. Then add your bead and continue weaving.
4. Tie off and weave in your threads.
5. Next take your 20mm frame and using the same technique as above, begin weaving one row of white beads, followed by a row of blue beads, then rose gold, then blue.
6. When you come to the final row of white beads you will do a coral technique as seen in our video: How to Add Beaded Coral Around a Form that has Circular Brick Stitch.
7. Please refer to the photo. Align your piece so that it is straight up and down. Chain centered. Now when you begin your weaving on the last row of the 20mm frame, you want to start in the 3 o'clock position. This way you will center your coral and be able to attach the 16.5mm ring when we get to that step.
8. From the 3 o'clock point you will add about 7 beads before you begin the coral. The coral will use the white beads with rose gold tips. You can vary these up and personalize their lengths as seen in the video. You will do 9 corals, but on the 5th one you will attach the charm. To attach the charm, thread down into the white bead, catch the thread bridge with your needle and come back the the front. You should have your needle coming out the front in between the row of white and blue. String on the charm and one white bead. Now thread down through the charm only. This will catch the white bead on the front of the charm. Now weave your thread back to the back of the piece and follow the thread path of the beads to come up at the next white bead to continue the coral.
9. Once you have added all pieces of coral, continue weaving around the frame until you reach 11:55. Now, same as you did with the chain, you are going to catch the threads from the 16.5mm frame. You want to make sure this is centered with the charm. You will catch the threads of three consecutive beads as you continue your brick stitch.
10. When you return to your starting position, tie off and weave in your threads.
11. Open one jump ring and attach it to one end of the chain. Close the jump ring.
12. Open another jump ring and attach it to the other side of the chain and to one lobster clasp. Close the jump ring and you're all done.
