Retired - Floral Fresco Necklace

1. Using pliers, open and remove the two jump rings that come attached to your Vintaj Vogue pendant. Lay the pendant on your work surface with the patterned side up.
2. Watch our video on how to use Vintaj patinas and glaze. Pour out a little bit of both the amethyst and ruby Vintaj patinas on your work surface. Using a dry paintbrush, dab the amethyst patina around the edges of the pendant and then blot off the excess paint with a paper towel. Use another paintbrush to dab the ruby patina in the center of the pendant and blot off the excess with another paper towel. Wait a few minutes for the patina to dry.
3. Take your Vintaj relief block and lightly buff the raised areas of the pendant, removing some of the patina from the floral pattern.
4. Since the pendant is raw brass, you will need to seal it with metal sealer to preserve its bright golden color. Pour out a little bit of Vintaj glaze onto your work surface. With a clean and dry paintbrush, gently coat the surface with the glaze. Let the glaze dry for a few minutes.
5. When the glaze on the front is dry, flip the piece over and seal the back to prevent tarnishing.
6. Using flush cutters, cut two 8 inch pieces of gold chain.
7. Open a 4mm jump ring. Slide it through the first link of one piece of chain, and also slide it through the loop on one side of the Vintaj pendant. Close the jump ring.
8. Open another jump ring. Slide it through the first link of the other piece of chain, and also slide it through the loop on the other side of the Vintaj pendant. Close the jump ring.
9. Open another jump ring. Slide it through the last link of chain on one side of the necklace and also slide on the loop of your clasp. Close the jump ring.
10. Open another jump ring. Slide it through the last link of chain on the other side of the necklace. Close the jump ring.
11. Enjoy your necklace!
