This substantial artisan bracelet features hand wrought beads, wire wrapped in dual tones using bail making pliers. The design is made using 5mm stitched cork cord, and finished with a 2-strand magnetic clasp by Regaliz. A great project for men and women alike!
Instructions

These instructions will make an 8 inch bracelet, which is designed to fit a 7 inch wrist (Note: add at least 0.5 inches to your desired length, taking into account the girth of the piece). To adjust the size, modify the length of cork cord accordingly. You will need a tooth pick to complete this project.
  1. Please watch the video: How to Make a Single Coil Wrapped Bead. Using what you have learned in the video, create six wire wrapped beads using 18 gauge hematite wire and 24 gauge antiqued copper wire.
  2. Use flush cutters to cut two 7.5 inch lengths of cork cord.
  3. Take a tooth pick and apply a small amount of E6000 glue into the well on one side of your magnetic clasp. Insert one end of each length of cork cord into the well. Let dry for one hour.
  4. Onto one length of the cord, string 3 wire wrapped beads, spacing them out evenly. Repeat this step on the second cord, alternating the placement of the beads to lay in between the beads on the first cord.
  5. Repeat step 3 to glue the opposite ends of the cork cord into the other side of the magnetic clasp. Again, let dry for one hour. All done!

  • FCL-1681 - Regaliz Findings, Round 2-Strand Magnetic Clasp Fits 5mm Round Cord, 1 Set, Antiqued Silver
    Project uses 1 piece. You will need 1 package.

  • XTL-1054 - E6000 Industrial Strength Glue Adhesive (0.18 fl oz)
