How to Use the Jewel Loom Beading Loom. This loom will come with the loom needle that you will use in this project. Please see the pattern included in these instructions.
- From what you learned in the video, thread on your warp threads. You will need 25 warp threads.
- Now that your loom is ready to go, cut off a length of nymo thread. Cut off only as much as you feel comfortable working with. You will need to add more thread as you go. See our video: How to Tie Off and Add New Thread in Bead Weaving.
- Begin your loom work, as shown in the video, by picking up the first row of beads in the pattern. You will begin this pattern with two rows of the Rose Gold Beads.
- The pattern attached shows the beginning and the end of the bracelet. You will continue the geometric pattern with one row of the rose gold beads in between until you come to the very end of your piece.
- Continue the pattern for as long as you would like the bracelet. For a 6 1/2 inch bracelet, you will weave about 6 inches of the pattern. Each geometric shape will add about 3/4 of an inch. So if you would like a 6 1/2 inch bracelet you will weave 8 geometric pattern blocks. For a 7 1/4 inch bracelet you will weave 9 geometric pattern blocks, and so forth.
- Make sure to end your piece with two rows of rose gold beads so that it mirrors the beginning of your loom work. Do this only at the top and bottom of your loom work.
- When you are finished weaving, carefully cut the warp threads off of the loom. Please watch our video: How to Finish and Back Bead Loom Weaving to complete the final step of this project.
- Use the size 12 beading needle to add the backing to this piece.
- To attach the clasp, use the thread that you are using when you are attaching the backing. When you come to the ends of the bracelet you will simply go up through the loops of the clasp as you are attaching the backing. This will all be done in one step to limit the amount of thread that you need.
- Tie off your thread.
- All done!
