Retired - Salacia Earrings

1. Please watch the video: How to do Flat Spiral Stitch. Using what you have learned in the video, begin by cutting 3 feet of beading thread and string on your size 12 needle.
2. Follow along with the video to create a section of flat spiral stitch that is 7 units long (approximately 1.25 inches). For this project, you will be using smaller sized beads: 4mm pearls in the center of your weaving, and 3mm round crystal beads along the sides. Additionally, you will be stringing three 11/0 seed beads instead of the five seed beads shown in the video (see photo for reference). Once you have completed your weaving, tie off and weave in your threads on both sides of the piece.
3. To hang the crystal drop from your earring, open a 5mm jump ring and string on your crystal drop. Also string on the two endmost seed beads on one side of your bead work. Close the jump ring.
4. To attach your earring hook, open another 5mm jump ring and string on the bottom loop of your earring hook. Also string on the two endmost seed beads on the opposite side of your earring, in the same manner as you did in the above step. Close the jump ring. Enjoy!
