For a colorful way to adorn your wrist, try carrier beads wrapped in peyote bead weaving on stretch cord. A lovely floral pattern creates a sweet treat to get you in the mood for a stroll in the garden.

Instructions

This design measures approximately 6.75 inches. To modify the length, you can adjust by removing or adding one of the carrier beads, or you can adjust the beads in between the carrier beads.

To begin this project, please watch our video: How to Do Flat Even Count Peyote. From what you learned in the video, cut off a length of thread you are comfortable working with, add a stopper bead, and begin the weaving. Follow along with the PDF pattern to create the first strip.
Then please watch our video: How to Cover a Carrier Bead in Peyote Bead Weaving. From what you learned in this video, zip up the peyote and tie off and weave in your threads. Then add a dab of glue to carrier bead, slip the peyote over it so that they two flowers are centered. (See Photo)
Then continue with all 8 carrier beads.
Next string on one carrier bead, one 4mm bead, one 6mm bead and one 4mm bead. Continue in this pattern until you have added all the carrier beads. For the second strand of opelon, string through the second hole of the carrier beads and add one 4mm bead, one 6mm bead and one 4mm bead in between each one.
Bring the ends of the opelon together and tie an overhand knot, I suggest trying a second overhand knot for security. Add a dab of glue to each knot. Trim the ends and hide the knots in one of the carrier beads.
