1. If you are new to metal punching, please watch our video: Show and Tell: Impressart Stamping Blanks and Metal Punches. I would recommend practicing stamping first before attempting your finished piece.
2. Using what you have learned in the video, place your silver Impressart Soft Strike stamping blank onto your bench block.
3. Using a hammer, take your Love metal punch and create your impression in the center of the stamping blank as shown in the video. Because the image on this punch is slanted, it requires slightly front-of-center placement onto the stamping blank in order to achieve an impression at the precise middle of the blank.
4. To define your impression, apply a small amount of Impressart stamp enamel to your stamping as shown in the video. Once you have wiped away the excess ink on your piece, you may also want to use a toothpick or piece of wire at this point to remove any remaining ink from the hole of the stamping.
5. Now use flush cutters to cut 3 inches of 26 gauge wire, and create a wrapped wire loop, sliding on your stamped blank before closing the wrap (see photo for reference).
6. String one 5mm Austrian crystal crystal bicone onto your wire above the stamping blank, and make another wrapped wire loop, latching onto your chain before closing the wrap. Enjoy your necklace!
