Retired - Inner Earth Necklace

1. Please watch the video: How to Wire Wrap a Crystal Point Pendant. Using what you have learned in the video, create three wrapped crystal points, one with gun metal, one with silver, and one with gold wire. Set these pieces aside.
2. Please watch the video: How to Use Memory Wire to Make Pendants and Connectors. Using the techniques shown in the video, create your pendant frame using ring size flat memory wire and 22 gauge craft wire.
3. Cover your memory wire pendant frame with craft wire as shown in the video. As you wrap your second layer of 22 gauge wire onto the frame, link on a wrapped crystal point every third loop before finishing off the wire wrapping (see photo for reference). Set aside.
4. Next, cut four sections of ring size flat memory wire approximately 3/4 of a round in length, and create your connectors as shown in the video. Set aside.
5. Cut a section of chain 5 links long (approximately 1 inch). Note how the chain is constructed with one side of the chain link smaller than the other.
6. String a 4mm bead onto a headpin, and make a wrapped wire loop, sliding the wire wrapped bead onto the third link from the end of the chain that has the larger link opening (see photo for reference) before closing the wrap. Repeat this step two more times, linking each wire wrapped bead consecutively onto next two chain links up from your first wire wrapped bead.
7. Repeat steps 5-6 three times to create three more sections of chain with 3 beads wire wrapped onto the designated links.
8. Use pliers to carefully open the outward facing simple wire loop on one side of your pendant. Latch on one section of chain, attaching the end of the chain that has the larger link opening, so that the first wire wrapped bead is positioned three links up from the pendant. Close the outward facing loop, and repeat this process to attach another section of chain on the opposite side of the pendant frame.
9. Now use pliers to carefully open the outward facing loop of one memory wire connector, and latch it onto the smaller end of the chain you just attached to your memory wire pendant. Close the loop, and repeat this process to attach another memory wire connector to the opposite side of the necklace.
10. Carefully open the outward facing loop on the other end of the memory wire connector you just added to the necklace, and latch on another section of chain, similarly attaching the larger end link as you did onto the pendant, so that the first wire wrapped bead is positioned two links up from the connector. Close the loop, and repeat this process to attach another memory wire connector to the opposite side of the necklace.
11. Now cut a 10 inch length of chain. Again string a 4mm bead onto a headpin, and make a wrapped wire loop, sliding the wire wrapped bead onto the third link from the end of the chain that has a larger link opening. String two more 4mm beads onto headpins and make wire wrapped loops,linking them onto next two links up from the larger end of the chain.
12. Now attach this portion of chain to your necklace by carefully open the outward facing loop on the end of the last memory wire connector you attached. Close the loop.
13. Repeat the previous two steps to attach another 10 inch length of chain with wire wrapped bead dangles onto the memory wire connector on the opposite side of the necklace.
14. Finally, open a 6mm jump ring and slide it onto the loop of the lobster clasp and also slide on the end link of your necklace. Close the jump ring. Then open a 7.7mm jump ring and slide it onto the other end of your necklace. Close the jump ring. Enjoy!
