hi this is kat with beadaholique.com and in this video i'm going to show you how to make the flora drop earrings now today i'm using pieces by raven's journey so i have the old style drops here in the red and then i have the wild rose beads in the blue purple peacock so i'm going to be using that today i also have a couple of head pins a couple of eye pins here and some earring hooks now the only tools that you're going to need is a pair of round nose pliers a pair of flush cutters and a pair of chain nose pliers so if you have everything ready to go let's go ahead and get started so this is a very simple earring and we're going to be doing simple wire loops so go ahead and take one of your drop pieces here and you can see that it has that really beautiful color so we have a hole going from the bottom through the top so what we're going to do is take one of our head pins slide it up through so you can slide it down to the bottom just hold that in place and go ahead and grab those round nose pliers come in right at the tippy top of that drop there and we're just going to bend that backwards and then kind of move our pliers so that we get a nice size loop there so we're just going to wrap that up and over the top of our pliers now go ahead and rotate your plier as you bring that little extra tail across to complete that loop now go ahead and remove your pliers and you can come in with your flush cutters and just snip that off and we're going to go ahead and make the pair today here so i'm just going to repeat that process with my second head pin and just coming in bending it backwards again we want to make sure we're having a really good sized loop there and go ahead and bring that right across perfect and just snip off that excess wire there we go okay so now i can set those two little pieces aside and we are going to move on to taking up our eye pins and the same thing here we are going to slide on our wild rose and then i'm just going to go ahead and take my pliers again now i'm going to come a little bit above because we have that sort of rough edge when it kind of goes in and out of the petal there so just go ahead and feel like you can come right above that and then just move your pliers wrap that up and over the top and we are good to do our second piece let's go ahead and come in one more time wrap that up and over the top bring it around and we can come in with our flush cutters now there we go okay so now we are ready to start constructing our uh earring here now go ahead and take one of those little loops there and go ahead and open it just the same as you would a little jump ring and we're just going to slide our earring hook right onto that piece and then go ahead and close up that little loop now we want to make sure everything is nice and straight and facing the right way and what i love about this earring hook is it's going to be nice and tight there so you're not going to have a lot of wobble which is great so now we can come to this side here and i'm going to go ahead and pick up one of my little drops and it's already a little bit open so i'm just going to open it just a smidge more hook it on to my loop at the bottom and go ahead and close that up so we have one earring all completed there so now let's just quickly construct the second earring but this is a really simple technique we also have a lot of different colors of the ravens journey the drops and the roses here so you can really mix and match and make this your own you could also add a couple of different beads here in this type of design to add you know if you wanted a third kind of tier if you will and let's just open this last little piece there there we go slide that on and finally we're just going to close that up so we have a really cute little pair of earrings that features that old style drop and that wild rose i hope you enjoyed this video you can get all of these supplies and see even more tutorial videos by heading over to beadaholique.com and if you're new to our youtube channel be sure to hit that subscribe button below to get all the latest from beadaholique.com you
