Hi this is Megan with Beadaholique.com and today I want to show you how to cover a Nunn Design channel bead core with bead weaving. It kind of fills in the little lip there and it gives you a very pretty bead woven bead. So what you want to do is I've used a basic peyote stitch to weave a piece that fits in between the edges of your bead core. If you need to know how to do peyote stitch we have videos on how to do even count and how to do odd count. So you want to take the beads that you want to use and see how many fit across and whether that's an even or odd number and whether you use even or odd count peyote. What you want to do is weave a piece that's long enough to fit around your bead core. I just kept checking to see when it was long enough. Just kept wrapping it around there to see. And then you're going to zip up your peyote which you also wanna make sure is that your two ends will fit together exactly where they come out on the side that goes in on that side so that you can zip it up to have it look seamless. So I'm just gonna start by bringing my needle through the beads that stick out on the ends. I'm gonna keep it loose. I'm going to keep it quite a bit of space between there so that I can put the bead core in after Do keep it lined up so it doesn't get tangled. So assume as you come up the last bead. I'm going to slide your bead core in through the opening and if you get a really good fit you might have to actually push the end beads in and make it nice and snug. Your just going to pull the thread and your end thread might come a little loose also just alternate Until you have a nice tight fit and then all you're gonna do it is tie off and weave in your thread just like you do with any bead weaving. That gives you a really pretty way to finish these bead cores. You can use these beads anywhere where you would use a wide hole beads now. Go to Beadaholique.com for all of your beading supply needs!
