You'll never lose your keys with this fun and colorful beaded lanyard. Two pieces of loom work have been combined to make one long piece to complete this design.
Instructions

Note: Components and tools listed within this INSTRUCTIONS box and the printer-friendly PDF, if available, may have been discontinued since this project was published. Refer to the PURCHASE COMPONENTS and TOOLS AND OTHER SUPPLIES sections for current availability.

  1. To begin, please watch our video: How to Use the Ricks Beading Loom.
  2. From what you learned in the video, set up your beading loom. Move the slider back so that the measurement between the two silver bars is equal to 11 inches.
  3. Using the Nymo, thread the beading loom with 13 warps, because you will have 12 beads per row.
  4. Take a length of Nymo that you are comfortable working with, thread the loom needle. You will need a lot of thread for this project and will need to add as you work. Please watch our video: How to Tie Off and Add Thread in Bead Weaving.
  5. Follow the pattern and begin your first row. Weave until you have come to the end of the 11 inches.
  6. Take off the loom piece from the loom. To one end of this piece you will be adding a sliding clasp. Please watch our video: How to Use Slide End Tubes.
  7. You will now repeat the above process to make a second strip of loom work.
  8. Remember that when you go on to your second piece to continue the pattern. Also be aware of the row that will be covered up by the clasp and the row you need to end with to complete the pattern.
  9. When you have finished your second strip and both piece have one slide end on each of them you will now join the two pieces together. Please watch our video: How to Attach Loom Pieces for Longer Projects.
  10. To each slide end, attach one split jump ring.
  11. Attach one ID clip to both jump rings to complete the lanyard.
