Circular brick stitch hoops deliciously complement the candy corn charms in these earrings using a Halloween color palette of Miyuki Delica seed beads woven onto Beadalon Quick Links.

Instructions

By following the instructions below, you will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring.

If you are new to circular brick stitch, please watch the video: How to do Circular Brick Stitch on the Interior of a Form. Using what you have learned in the video, begin by cutting 4 feet of beading thread, or as much as you are comfortable working with, and thread your needle. Tie the thread onto your link as shown in the video.
Follow along with the video to create five layers of brick stitch, working your way inward on the link in the following order: Black, Orange, Yellow, White, Black (see photo for reference). Tie off and weave in your thread.
To hang your candy corn charm, open a 5mm jump ring (the jump ring that comes with your candy corn charm will work). Slide on your brick stitch link by gently fitting the jump ring between two black seed beads along the edge of your link. Then slide on the loop of your charm so that the charm lays against the brick stitch facing forward.
Finally, use pliers to open the bottom loop of your earring hook the same way you would open a jump ring, and attach it to your completed earring. Close the loop. Enjoy!

Fun and Versatile!

I found this to be a great video showing not only how to make these cute earrings, but also offering a solid base from which to branch out and design more personalized earrings. I followed Julie's suggestion to fill in the hoops completely, and when finished I added a perched owl charm so I have owls in front of a full moon.
I have one suggestion to offer when making these: I tend to try to keep my beading on the tight side and found its very easy to crowd too many Delicas in to the rows - remember not to pull your thread tension TOO tight and that each consecutive circuit gets smaller and you will have to occasionally skip a thread bridge or risk overcrowded, knobby beadwork.
