Playing with light and dark, this necklace features an open back Nunn Design bezel with an abstract swirl of white and black resin.
Instructions

Note: Components and tools listed within this INSTRUCTIONS box and the printer-friendly PDF, if available, may have been discontinued since this project was published. Refer to the PURCHASE COMPONENTS and TOOLS AND OTHER SUPPLIES sections for current availability.

This necklace measures approximately 18 inches. To modify the length, simply adjust the length of chain on both sides respectively. You will also need some packing tape, gloves and toothpicks for this project. We recommend watching all videos before beginning this project.
  1. Cut off a square of the packing tape and place the open back bezel on to the tape and make sure all edges are secure so no resin leaks out.
  2. Mix your resin according to the instructions on the box. Equal parts of A and B. Transfer a small amount to separate cup. In this cup begin adding the color to achieve the level of black you desire. Add a small amount of mica powder to the resin and mix in. Pour this into the bezel. Also be sure at this stage to mix your white resin in a separate cup and set aside.
  3. Next, please watch our video: How to Achieve a Marbled Effect in Resin. In this video you will see how to do the marbling technique in your resin using the white resin.
  4. Once your resin as fully cured, remove the tape and you are ready to assemble the necklace. Begin by cutting off 18 inches of chain. To one end open one 4mm jump ring and attach it to one end and to one lobster clasp. Close the jump ring.
  5. Open another 4mm jump ring and attach it to the other end of the chain. Close the jump ring.
  6. Open one 6.5mm jump ring and attach it to the pendant and around the center of the chain. Close the jump ring.
