Beadaholique Live Class Request List!

Hello Fellow Makers!

This is Julie and I am planning out my upcoming Beadaholique live classes that we do every Thursday at 9am PT/12pm ET. These classes have been so fun to do and I love the wonderful community we are building. Now I need your help. What classes would you like to see in the future? I can do classes that are entire projects from start to finish like a strung bracelet with Czech glass beads, I can do technique-based classes where we don't necessarily finish a project but we learn all about something like loom work or kumihimo, and we can do anything in between. Since this is just us planning it, the sky's the limit!

Please share in the comment section what classes you would like to see. What do you want to learn how to do? What type of techniques or products do you want to learn more about? Share as much detail as you like. It would be great to plan some of these classes in advance so you can get ready, get your supplies, and bead-a-long like in our upcoming Beginners Basics Beading Class on February 13th.

Thank you and happy beading!

Julie

Hey Julie,
I LOVE your classes and lives so much.
I would love to figure out how to add focals and/or bigger beads to the middle of a kumihimo necklace or bracelet.
I would also like to make picture frame earrings so a class on that with picture inside of the frame would be great.
Look forward to move Lives on Thursdays in 2025!

This is a really timely question: I make sports team bracelets and my husband wants me to make them with Velcro closures for the men, and I feel like I’m beating my head against a wall trying to figure out a good, secure way to do that without spending a huge amount of time sewing the beaded part onto cloth first. A way to do this would be so exciting!

Hi Julie,
The lives are such a delight and it’s always great learning with you 💜
I’d love to see more wire wrapping techniques, maybe something a bit more advanced as in combining flat and round wire to make a cabochon setting. Or different ways to wire wrap stones and pebbles with more organic shape. I always collect the most beautiful quartz pebbles along our coast here in Ireland and I turn them into amulets, so I’d love to see more unique ways to do that with wire.

Love,
Kaia

I would like to work with looms and the Kumihimo thing.

I would be interested in occasional “higher end” project using gemstones and sterling silver.

I need some fabulous projects mainly using 4mm beads. I have been beading(both stringing and weaving) for over 5 years and have accumulated many 4mm beads. Some with just 25 beads in a specific color. Most patterns and tutorials require 100 or more of the same beads, so what do I do with the others??

I have over 50 large bead/cabachon gemstones and metal pendants and would love ideas besides just hanging off a necklace ideas please!!

Hi, Julie—this is Julie as well! I would love to see more classes on making wire jewelry components (links, connectors, etc.) & trouble=shooting of wire work & the best ways for bends & pressure, etc. . I personally struggle with making open spirals and would love a session for that. My favorite project is earrings, and I also would love to see more tutorials with the super-duo beads—either earrings or bracelets. I think a general Q & A session sometimes would also be nice just for general information—i.e. What is the difference between Wildfire and Fireline, etc. Thanks for your classes, they are WONDERFUL!!!

I would like a class on wire wrapping heart shaped non-drilled stones. I have several from 32mm’s to 43mm and would love to create something with them. I’d also like to request a later time of day for the class. 9:00 a.m. is difficult for me as I’m taking care of the little ones at that time. Thank you!
