It's always fun to find out what the Pantone Color of the Year will be. Last year it was Peach Fuzz and we saw wonderful shades of peach in home decor items, clothing, and even furniture. This year the color is a delectable brown called Mocha Mousse. Now, to me, this conjures up images of two of my very favorite things: coffee and chocolate! This particular shade of brown is soft and warm and almost looks to have rosy undertones.
If you are wanting to work with this lovely color in your beading and jewelry designs, some companion colors would be cream, rose, mauve, lavender, soft grey, teal, and moss green. Since Mocha Mousse can almost be considered a neutral, there really are limitless possibilities of what you can do with this color. Don't be afraid to try unexpected combinations using Mocha Mousse as the foundation and then going a bit wild from there. You can keep things on the serene side by using soft creams, white, and beiges or you can add pops of color like a rich violet or vibrant teal. Have fun with this yummy color!
If you are looking for beads to represent Mocha Mousse, below are some ideas! Shades might not be exact but convey the essence of the color and will be a great addition to your jewelry designs, making them current and in the moment.
