I put the leftovers in ziplock bags.

I like to use empty prescription bottles for my leftover beads, and that’s how separate my bead soups too.

Good question, and one I haven’t figured out yet. I keep the beads I find on the floor and in the couch cushions in a little dish waiting to be dealt with. The leftovers usually go back in their original spot unless I can’t find that spot, in which case they go in the little dish …

I store my beads in tubes. At the end of a project, I sort my beads and place them back into their tubes. If during my project I created a nice mix that inspires me, that I want to keep as a mix, I store it in a baggie or tube. If I have no time to sort I put them in a small container or in a baggie temporarily.

Leftover beads go into small glass jam jars.

    Deb Lilly - December 12, 2024

I store bead soup in snack size baggies. They’re sorted according to size and colors.

    Pat - December 12, 2024

I store leftover beads in plastic bags in a plastic container or loose in smaller plastic containers.

I use storage trays to keep everything in. I need to start using cabinets as I have too many trays.

    Shelbie Francescon - December 12, 2024

i keep all of mine in a bead soup container and deal with it at a later time lol

My bead left overs is bit of a process since it depends on what they are. I try to keep everything color organized so if it’s a mixture of blues it goes in the blue mix. If they are blown glass or bigger bead, or crystals/stones they go in the a bin separated by size, shape, and color. Left over chain goes in the chains and jump rings box. The only thing I always throw away is thread that is to short for anything. No point when it’s gonna fray after awhile. Also all of this depends if I am tempted to make something to go with the piece completed. Like I make a necklace and maybe I want to add earrings to it. Then everything goes in a in process mini container with compartments.
