Let's face it: we need white beads sometimes. The opaque white stands out as plain in comparison to its neighbors in many designs. I love AB coating, but it doesn't work with everything. This Lustered White fills in the gap. The luster coating adds a shine or sheen greater than that of the usual polished opaque colors. The Lustered White doesn't "pop" like the fancier coatings. Instead, these white beads have reflect more light but from a less broad area over the bead. I've come to like them quite a bit. The only downside is that you need to do a bit of extra culling. The coating that is applied to give the "Luster" effect results in a few more off-size beads than usual. However, Toho is very regular in general.
