Capture the rustic beauty of the ocean with this wire wrapped necklace featuring TierraCast elements and 8mm Alexandrite cultured sea glass beads. The design is made using both simple and wrapped wire loops with 20 gauge artistic wire and antiqued silver rolo chain.

Instructions

These instructions will make a 26 inch necklace. For a longer or shorter necklace, choose your desired length of chain. If you wish to use a clasp, we recommend a lobster clasp and jump ring.

Use flush cutters to cut 2 inches of wire.
On one end of the wire, make a simple wire loop.
Onto the wire, slide one bead cap with the wide end facing away from the loop. Then slide on one 8mm cultured sea glass bead. Slide on another bead cap with the wide end facing toward the bead.
Once your second bead cap has been added, make another simple wire loop.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 to create another beaded link.
Use pliers to open a loop on one of your beaded links the same way you would open a jump ring, and slide on a loop of your other beaded link. Close the loop.
Use flush cutters to cut 26 inches of rolo chain.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 to start your third beaded link. Once your second bead cap has been added, make a wrapped wire loop. Before coiling the wrap closed, slide on the two end links of your chain. Close the wrap.
Repeat step 6 to connect your beaded link and chain from the previous step to your other two beaded links.
Now open the end loop of your first beaded link and slide on the loop of your shell charm. Close the loop. Enjoy your necklace!
