Retired - Sparkling Summer Punch Necklace

1. Remove all four strands of griffin silk off of the cards.
2. Take two strands of silk and double knot the two ends together, leaving a two inch tail. Repeat for the next two strands.
3. Begin knotting the beads on each strand. For the first few beads on each strand use the smaller beads, these are the ones that will be squished into the bead cone at the very end so you do not want to use large beads for this part. I find that is is best to knot a few on one strand and move to the second strand and knot a few and so on. Do not knot all the beads on one strand at one time.
4. As you work you will want to space out the larger beads and space out the coloring. Also, you will begin to weave and braid the strands together as you work down.
5. Note that when you come to adding the two hole square beads, which can be about every two inches, make sure to use different strands overtime and continue to weave them through and together. This will keep this multi-strand necklace looking like one piece.
6. Continue knotting until you have reached your desired length. Be sure to finish with the smaller beads, similar to the beginning side.
7. For the clasp, cut a 6 inch length of wire. Take both pieces of silk that are tied together and thread the wire through the bridge, combining all four strands. Take the wire and wrap it to secure all four strands. Trim any excess wire. Trim any excess silk cord.
8. Add a small dab of glue into the base of the cone. Slide on the bead cone over the wire. Make a wrapped wire loop. Trim any excess wire.
9. Repeat the last two steps for the other side of the wire. Tying the two ends together as you did on the first side at the beginning of the necklace.
10. Open one jump ring and attach it to the wrapped wire loop. Close the jump ring.
11. To the other side of the necklace, open one jump ring, attach it to the wrapped wire loop and to one lobster clasp. Close the jump ring.
