Retired - My Valentine Necklace

1. Cut 3 lengths of beading wire: 22", 24" and 31". (I have already added 3 inches of additional wire to each side of the necklace, to allow for crimping.)
2. Next, separate your clasp. Take your 22" length wire, add a crimp tube and string it through the top loop of one side of your clasp set then string your wire back through your crimp tube. (you want a short tail of about 3 inches of wire). Pull snug so that you have a small loop. Crimp the crimp tube. (Do not trim off your short tail quite yet)
3. Next, begin stringing on your beads in a random assortment onto 16" of beading wire. Use a bead stopper at any point to keep your beads from falling off if you put your project down for a bit. Tuck the short end of your beading wire tail into a few adjacent beads next to the clasp to make your necklace more secure. Trim the short tail with flush cutters.
4. Once you've strung on all your beads, take the end of your wire, add a crimp tube, and then string it onto the top loop of the other side of your clasp. (Remember to make sure you are using the top loop on both sides). Loop the wire back around and through the crimp bead going in the opposite direction. Feed the wire into a few of the adjacent beads near the clasp to keep your necklace secure, pull snug. (Remember to make sure you are using the top loop on both sides).
5. Using your crimp pliers, crimp your crimp tube. Snip off any excess beading wire off of the short tail.
6. Repeat the same stringing process used above for the second row of your necklace. Bead for 18 inches of your wire. Repeat the same crimping process as well, remembering to crimp your beading wire to the second loop on both sides of your clasp set.
7. Again, repeat the same stringing process used above for the third row of your clasp. Bead for 25 inches of your wire. Repeat the same crimping process as well, remembering to crimp your beading wire to the third loop on both sides of your clasp set.
8. You are now done with the stringing portion of this project.
9. As an accent, gather all three strands of your necklace with your pink ribbon and make a simple bow. I added mine on the left hand side. See photo.
