These instructions make a 7.5" bracelet. The quantities given include enough corduroy rubber to allow for an up to 8" bracelet. If you would like to make a larger bracelet, adjust the quantity accordingly. Please also note that you will need a ruler for this project. Before you begin, it may be helpful for you to watch our video:
How to Measure and Assemble a Regaliz Corduroy Rubber Bracelet. In this video, you will learn how to measure and cut the corduroy rubber, add the beads, attach the clasp, and finish the bracelet.
- To make this bracelet please watch our video: How use the Charm Holder Connector for Rubber Regaliz.
- The center of the connector bar measures 7mm (just over 1/4"). You will need to subtract this from your overall length of your bracelet. Also the recesses of the clasp measure 5mm at each end for a total of 10mm (3/8").
- For a 7 1/2" bracelet, cut each piece of rubber to 3 3/4". Make sure both cords are exactly even and your cuts are perpendicular other wise it will not sit correctly.
- Open one jump ring and attach the dragonfly charm to the charm holder connector bar.
- Before you glue anything, test your length. Place one end of the rubber on to the bar, then slide on one slider bead and one rubber o-ring. Repeat with the other side.
- Place both ends into the clasp ends. You can carefully measure this on a mandrel or your wrist. If you need to cut any rubber, do so now evenly on both sides.
- Once you have your desired size, carefully remove the clasp and slide back your beads and o-rings. As demonstrated in the video, place a dab of super new glue into the recess of the cord and place one end of the rubber cord onto the connector bar. Repeat with the other side.
- Slide your beads and rubber o-rings back into place.
- Place a dab of super new glue into the recess on one side of your clasp and slip one end of the cord into the recess. Allow to dry.
- Repeat the previous step on the other side of your bracelet.
- Allow all glue to dry thoroughly before wearing.
