hi this is megan with beadaholique.com go we've bracelet kit and i have the gray and pink color variation here and i'm going to show you how to make the cream and bronze color today so what you'll get in your kit is two tubes of a super duo two whole bead and one tube of Toho seed beads then you're going to get a spool of fireline beading thread a little two strand tube clasp and a package of beading needles and the other things you're going to need are going to be a pair of scissors and a ruler so you get started go ahead and pour out some of your beads and you're going to cut a length of thread and you're going to want to cut it as about as long as you're comfortable working with I don't like to work with more than about six feet at a time open your needle package and we're going to thread a needle you want to pull your ends almost even but not quite you're going to leave a tail on one side right angle weave is done by creating units and then building off of those units to create new units this particular right angle weave with a two hole bead involved is a little bit more complicated than the standard right angle weave a standard right angle weave is done with just for one whole beads so we're going to do this a little bit different and have you pick up one two whole bead one seed bead onto whole bead one seed bead and continue alternating until you have four of each kind of bead when you have four to whole beads for super dos and 4c beads you're going to pull them down until they're about 12 to 14 inches from the end of your thread we want to leave a nice long tail on there so that you don't have to attach a new thread when it's time to add the clasp later tie a standard double knot to form a ring you want to make sure that both knots go between the same two beads there okay now we're going to go through seedbead a2 will be a seed bead and a two-hole bead just going to get ourselves in position for the next unit okay so this right here these eight beads this is your first unit and you're going to continue to build new units sharing some of the beads with this one to get ourselves over to the position that we're going to want to build our second unit you need to go back down through the second hole in the two hole beat that you've that you're coming out of right now in the opposite direction and now we can pick up the beads to build our second unit so we're going to pick up a seed bead a two hole bead a seed bead a two hole bead seed bead two hole bead and a seed bead so you want three two hole beads with seed beads on either end so four seed beads and then you're going to go back around a complete circle by going through that first hole there and as you leave right angle weave you're going to continue around the circle to travel to where you need to be for the next unit and you will change direction you'll go clockwise counterclockwise but you always want to continue with the flow of the circle for that unit that you're on so you're going to go around the circle through a seed bead a two hole bead a seed bead and a two hole bead and pull snug and that's your second unit and we're ready to make our third unit so to make our third unit we need to go back down through that to who'll be going the other direction then we're going to pick up a seed bead a two-hole bead seed bead two hole bead seed bead two hole bead seat B so three two hole beads and four seed beads then you're going to complete that circle and that is your third unit I'm going to start my second row the top of this third unit so I'm going to continue around the circle until they come out of that seed bead I'm sorry that - hole bead right there so we're going to go through the next three pairs of beads there and as you're working if your work loosens up go ahead and give it a tug keep it snug that'll keep it nice and tidy looking so this is your first row and we're ready to step up to our next unit to our first unit in the second row so anytime you're stepping to the next unit you're going to go back through the two whole bead headed the opposite way then we're going to pick up four seed beads and three two whole beads you'll always be alternating those you're going to complete the circle by going back through that bead and now we want to build our second unit in the second row off to the left so I'm going to weave through until I come out of that left two we'll be there so through three pairs of beads again for the second unit in the second row we already have two of the 2 hole beads that we're going to use for that so we're going to step over to that unit by going through the other hole and headed the other way now I'm going to pick up one seed bead one two hole bead one seed bead one two hole bead and one seed bead so three seed beads and two two hole beads because I already have two of my beads I just need two more of the two hole with the seed beads between now I'm going to go complete the circle by going through that two hole bead and all I need to add here is the missing seed bead that goes between those two two hole beads and then go back up and finish that unit and then we need to build our third unit off of this - whole bead here so you're going to go through the next two pairs of beads and then change direction to move over to our last unit here by heading back the other way and as you see sometimes it pulls out of shape you want to always make sure that you pull it back into its nice shape before you continue so we're going to add three seed beads and two two whole beads to complete this side of the unit we're going to continue around the circle and again you just need to add the one seed bead there that goes between here every time you're going to step up to your next row you need to work your way around the circle until you're coming out of the top two whole bead in that unit and then you'll just go through the other hole to step up to your next unit in your new row so I'm just going to show you one more row and then we're going to go ahead and let you work and skip to the clasp so your first unit you need to add three beads to complete three two whole beads and then you're just going to go up through the next pair of beads to move over to or you need to be and then transition to your next unit by going through the opposite direction okay now we're going to build a unit off of these two two whole beads so the first thing you need to do is just add the seed bead that goes between them and then we're going to add the two missing two whole beads with the seed beads between them and you're going to complete the circle by going through what you had of the unit there and then we're going to get over to our end bead by going through the next pair of beads and transition to the next unit again this one just needs one seed bead first and then we'll finish that unit off I'm just going to finish the unit by completing the circle so to continue you're just going to leave up to step up to the next row through this top e and then you're just going to repeat what you've done for the last two rows until you've gotten 5/8 of an inch less than your desired bracelet length so you need to figure out how long you want your bracelet to be standard woman's bracelet sizes are usually 7 or 8 inches or you can just measure your wrist and then add in some East so that it can have a little bit of room on your wrist so you want to add about half an inch to an inch to your wrist measurement if you want to go that way as you're weaving your bracelet depending on how much thread you started with you may run out of thread so I just want to show you how to tie off your thread and add a new one and you're going to want to stop when you've got about 8 inches of thread left I've got more than that here but you want to make sure that you don't stop too closer you won't have any room to tie your thread so I've actually gone up to the next step here I'm going to go back so all you're going to do is finish one of your units and then you're going to take your needle and go underneath the thread right next to where your needle is coming out and you want to pull through but don't pull it all the way you're just going to leave a little loop then you're going to take your needle and go through the loop and pull that tight it's going to tie a knot so you can do that a couple of times to make it really secure and then you're just going to weave through more of the the weaving and you want to make sure that through the of the beads so you want to make sure as you're going that you're weaving through places where you already have a thread path so just follow around along the lines you've already woven and once you get it through a little bit then you're just going to trim that off if you have a thread burner and you know how to use that that's a really great thing for trimming otherwise if you take your scissors and just give a medium pressure pull up on the thread when you cut the tension is going to pop that thread right back down into the last bead and now you'll thread a new piece of thread onto your needle and before you get started you need to attach that thread onto your work so go ahead and tie your thread in not onto a new thread right between two of the beads and you want to make sure that you're attaching it close to where you left off so that you can weave around to go back through where you left off go ahead just use a standard double knot on that and then just weave around a couple of beads to get back to where you were when you started tying off and then when you're done at the end you can go back and weave in all of your little tails and trim them off be sure though that you don't weave off the beginning tail that twelve to forty fourteen inches that you left because you will use that for the clasp so if you have enough thread to do the entire bracelet without tying off an adding new thread that's fine just make sure that you do have the least a foot at the end for attaching your clasp to that end so if you get to that point and you don't have that much thread you will need to tie off and add a new piece then then you're just going to continue until you have the length that you're looking for again - the five-eighths of an inch stage you need for the clasp so now I have woven through most of my bracelet I'm about five-eighths inches away from where I want to be so it's time to attach my clasp so what you'll need to do is weave through and figure it out figure out how to do the pattern of that your thread will take because what we want to do is find a way to weave through and end up with our needle pointing inward towards the center on one of our end two superdude evades or two holes so I've figured out that if I just weave across going down and back up on my two hole beads that I'll be getting myself to where I want to be now when I come through that hole you can see I'm now headed towards the middle on the top hole of one of the two hole beads go ahead and separate the two halves of your clasp the tube clasp as you can see the way it fits together you're going to need one of the little nail heads looking ends on one end and one on the other side if you put them both on this way when you go to put your bracelet on it will twist your bracelet so really be sure that you're careful about which way they're pointing when you're attaching it now we're going to do is pick up three seed beads go through the first loop on your clasp then you're going to go right back down through the last seed bead and pull that snug now pick up one seed bead now you're going to go through the next two whole bead and then I want you to weave around that bead and point yourself directly out the the same way so go down through the bottom hole and then go right back up through the top hole that's just going to anchor it make it nice and strong now pick up two seed beads and go through the second loop on the clasp and then right back down through that last seed bead pull it snug pick up two seed beads and then go through that end to whole bead now go ahead and weave all the way back through all of that to make it stronger so you can see we have two threads catching the loop on your clasp that's going to make it stronger this time I'm just going to go through that second bead since I've already anchored it the first time by wrapping all the way around at this time I'm just going to go right through the hole all right now that our clasp is nice and secure just going to weave around to get yourself to the interior of your bracelet so that you don't put a knot right on the edge and then tie off your thread by making a loop around the thread bridge and going through weave through a little bit more tight another knot I'll just weave in a little bit to get some distance from the knot and then trim off the excess now turn your bracelet around and thread your needle on to the thread tail that we left at the beginning we're just going to do the same process that we did on the other side so I'm going to weave around until I can bring my needle through the top hole of one of the end beads facing towards the center and try to take the most direct path you cans that you don't use up a lot of your thread tail just going straight across over seems to be the best the best way alright so now I've got my thread positioned where I want I'm just going to do this the same way we did the other side so make sure that your clasp is oriented correctly and pick up three seed beads go through the loop and back down through the last bead pull snug pick up a one seed bead and then you're going to weave around that middle two whole bead pick up two seed beads go through the second loop back down through that last bead and pull snug pick up two more seed beads and go through the last two whole bead again we want to weave through all of that so that it's stronger the fireline thread is very strong so you don't need to worry about two loops of thread holding that on two loops of thread distributed over both of those is going to be really strong so this is a four pound break thread which means that you have to put four pounds of pressure on a single thickness of it before it will break so having it held into place by eight strands over both sides of the clasp is going to make it pretty strong okay now I'm just going to weave in and tie off my thread and then trim off your tail now if you did have to add new thread as you were working you'll have this tail here the end of that tail has been knotted so we just need to weave it in and trim it off so go ahead and thread your needle onto there and then just sweep through and then trim your thread and that's all there is to it to close it you just bring your two sides your clasp together and that's that that's how you make art to hold bead right angle weave bracelet kick you
