Hi this Megan with Beadaholique.com and today I'm going to show you how to use these wire banding pliers that we carry and we carry two different versions of the pliers this one is for twenty and twenty one gauge wire we also have one for twenty two and twenty four gauge wire and on the very tip of the nose you can see that one side actually has a twenty and the other one has a twenty-one you need to make sure that you're using the right side based on the wire gauge that you're going to use and what these are extremely handy for is when you're doing wire wrapping and wire work and you need to band together a group of wire usually this is square wire and your going to band it with a half round so I got my wire straightened out and now when you go to wrap the half round the group of square wire it can be a challenge to get it all nice and snug and have your first wrap this way be the right size and shape and have an opening just wide enough to get around there these are gonna be a very handy little shortcut. They're going to make sure that you have a really snug fit for your first wrap and all you do is take your half round wire the flat side up put it in the side of the wire that you're trying to wrap so I'm wrapping twenty gauge wire. I'm also using twenty gauge half round but I'm going to go ahead and just put it in there right about halfway through all you do is make sure it's not in that little dip down section. Make sure it's in the regular part there just squeeze. You can see it pops your wire right up gives it good bend you wanna go ahead and pinch the sides to make sure it's almost parallel here open that up and you pull it out take your wires that you need to band together place this all the way to the end it's gonna be a really great fit automatically now so that when you know start your wraps around you can see it's really neat and tidy because it was started with exactly the right kind of a curve at the beginning there so that when you go back and you lock that in by pressing on it you have a really secure banded wrap there so those will save you a lot of time and a lot of headache if you're just starting out especially and you haven't quite gotten the hang of getting it to be the right size
