Remember to double the directions below to make your matched set of earrings.
- To begin, cut a 6 inch piece of 26 gauge brass colored craft wire. Please watch the video on how to wire wrap beads around a form.
- Following what you learned in the video, wire wrap Miyuki Delica seed beads, size 11/0 in transparent metallic luster rose around one side of your antique brass ornate oval connector (between the two loops, see photo). Cut off excess wire.
- Cut a length of your antique gold plated dapped bar chain which is 4 links long. On the end of the first link and the fourth, make sure that you cut through the previous links' loop, not the jump ring connecting them (thus keeping the end jump rings intact).
- Open 1 antique brass 4mm jump ring and connect it to the side loop of your ornate brass oval connector link and the jump ring on one end of the chain length you cut in the previous step. Close the jump ring back up. Go to the other side of the connector and attach the other end of the chain in the same manner, using another 4mm jump ring. Make sure that the beads you wire wrapped onto the side are facing down, between the swag of chain.
- Open the loop at the base of your earring hook. Link this through the middle openwork hole on the top side of your ornate oval connector link. See photo if need be. Set aside for a minute.
- Take two of your Vintaj daisy brass bead caps and use your Vintaj relief block to sand the peaks of the daisy petals, exposing the lighter brass underneath.
- Take a brass head pin and place onto it 1Miyuki Delica seed beads, size 11/0 in transparent metallic luster rose,1 Vintaj daisy brass bead cap from the step above, 1 copper red round potato cultured pearl, another bead cap, and another seed bead. Create a wrapped wire loop after the last bead and cut off excess wire with flush cutters.
- Take another brass head pin and place onto it 1Miyuki Delica seed beads, size 11/0 in transparent metallic luster rose and 1 Czech fire polished 3mm round bead in matte metallic gold. Create a wrapped wire loop after the last bead and cut off excess with flush cutters. Make two of these.
- Open a 4mm jump ring and place all three of the dangles you made in the previous two steps onto the open jump ring with the pearl being in the middle. Link this jump ring to the jump ring between the second and third chain link of the chain segment connected to your ornate oval connector link/earring. Close the jump ring back up.
- C'est Magnifique!
