Instructions

By following the instructions below you will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring.
  1. Please watch our video: How to Wire Wrap a Druzy Bead. From what you learned in the video, cut a length of wire about 15-20 inches.
  2. Begin the wire wrap as seen in the video, for these earrings I recommend you have four wraps that surround the bead. Finish with the wrapped wire loop at the top. Trim any excess wire.
  3. Open the earring hook and slide the wire loop of the Druzy over the earring loop.

Very Cute

I have never worked with the druzy gemstones but didn't realize they had holes. That will make it much easier to hold in place.

Druzy Earrings
I am so disappointed

I was so excited to get this kit in the mail. But now I am so disappointed because I have sat and looked at the video over and over again for an hour. The wire has broken on me five times and I still have not done one earring. The video shows the round druzy gemstone but you work on the the square one and not the round one that you show on the video. I like the kit but for someone who is new to wire wrapping this is not a good kit to learn wire wrapping in my opinion. It is not as easy as it looks.

Thank you for your feedback on this project tutorial. Wire wrapping is indeed a more advanced technique and does require a good amount of practice—don't give up! Please also note that this is a project tutorial with a list of recommended components and is not one of our kits. While you may purchase the exact components used in this project, many customers use our projects for reference and assemble their own supplies. We encourage you to keep practicing with whatever components you have available until you have gotten the hang of it.
