Retired - Full Bloom Necklace

1. If you are new to circular brick stitch, please watch the video: How to do Circular Brick Stitch Bead Weaving Around a Bead.
2. Use scissors to cut 3 feet of Fireline beading thread, and thread on a size 12 needle.
3. Using what you have learned in the video, create eight layers of brick stitch bead weaving around your 12mm Austrian Crystal pearl, working outward in the following order: two rows of purple, one row of white, two rows of green, one row of white, two rows of red. You will need to tie off and add more thread as you work.
4. Please watch the video: How to Add a Decorative Beaded Edge to Bead Weaving. Follow along with the video to weave fifteen 3mm pearls onto the outermost layer of your brick stitch, with a purple seed bead on either side of each pearl.
5. Once you have added your last pearl from the previous step, sew your needle up through the adjacent red bead. Take your Cymbal bead ending, and thread your needle through one loop of the bead ending. Then sew back through the same red bead, toward the center of your circle.
6. Now sew up through the next adjacent red bead, and weave on one more 3mm pearl with purple seed beads on either side in the same manner as you did in step 4.
7. Repeat step 5 to sew on the other loop of your Cymbal bead ending on the opposite side of the beads you added in the previous step (see photo for reference). Note: at this point, you may want to create additional thread bridges over the loops of your Cymbal bead ending to secure it further. Do this by passing your needle in and out of the adjacent beads as your thread path indicates in order to reach the loops. Tie off and add new thread as needed.
8. Next, please watch the video: How to Add Flower Petal Embellishments to Circular Brick Stitch. Follow along with the video to add purple beaded edging to each of your 3mm pearls. Note: once you reach the fifteenth 3mm pearl, you will need to skip two red beads instead of one to reach the sixteenth pearl underneath the Cymbal bead ending (see photo for reference). Tie off and weave in your thread.
9. To attach your chain: Use flush cutters to cut two 8.5 inch lengths of cable chain. Now use pliers to open a 6.5mm jump ring and slide on one end link of each of your chains. Close the jump ring.
10. To hang your pendant: Open another jump ring, and slide on the jump ring from the previous step. Also slide on the top loop of your Cymbal bead ending. Close the jump ring.
11. To attach your clasp: Open a jump ring and slide on the end link of one of your chains. Also slide on the loop of your clasp. Close the jump ring.
12. Open another jump ring and slide on the end link of the chain on the other side of your necklace. Close the jump ring. Enjoy!
