These instructions will make a 7 1/4 inch bracelet. For a longer bracelet, weave additional beaded units or use jump rings to create a chain extender on one side of your clasp. For a shorter bracelet, subtract a beaded unit and create a jump ring chain extender to fit to your specific size.
- Cut a 2 foot length of Fireline. Thread a size 12 beading needle.
- String 1 Mini Silky bead, 2 silver 8/0 Toho demi rounds, 1 Mini Silky bead facing backward, 2 silver Toho demi rounds, 1 Mini Silky bead, and 4 MiniDuos. Slide them down, leaving an 8 inch thread tail. Then sew through the second hole of the last Mini Silky bead strung. Then string 2 silver demi rounds, 1 Mini Silky bead facing backward, and 2 silver demi rounds. Then sew through the second hole of the first Mini Silky bead strung. Then string 4 MiniDuos and sew through the first hole of the same Mini Silky bead. Grab your thread tail and pull tight. Knot your thread and thread tail, and make it a surgeon's knot.
- String your needle onto your thread tail and sew through the adjacent 2 silver demi round beads to pull the knot under the beads. Keep sewing around through your beadwork until you get to the 4 MiniDuos on one end. Exit one hole of the Mini Silky bead that serves as the base for the MiniDuos and sew up through the top hole of the MiniDuo on the end. String 2 blue 11/0 demi rounds, then sew through the top hole of the adjacent MiniDuo. String 1 blue demi round, 1 silver demi round and 1 blue demi round, then sew through the top hole of the adjacent MiniDuo. String 2 blue demi rounds, then sew through the top hole of the last MiniDuo. Sew down through the bottom hole of the same MiniDuo. Tie off and weave in your thread tail, then cut off the excess thread.
- String your needle on the main thread again. Repeat the previous step to add demi round beads between the top holes of the 4 MiniDuos on the other end. Tie off and weave in your thread tail, then cut off the excess thread. This completes one beaded unit.
- Repeat steps 1-4 five more times, or as many times as you like to reach the desired length of your bracelet.
- You will now connect your beaded units with jump rings. Using pliers, open a jump ring. Slide it through the silver demi round bead between the MiniDuos on one side of one beaded unit. Then slide on the silver demi round bead on one side of another beaded unit, making sure they are both facing up (the Mini Silky beads have their textured side up). Close the jump ring.
- Repeat step 6 four more times, so all of your beaded units are connected with jump rings.
- Open another jump ring. Slide on the silver demi round bead on one end of the bracelet. Also slide on the loop of your clasp. Close the jump ring.
- Open another jump ring. Slide on the silver demi round bead on the other end of the bracelet. Also slide on another jump ring. Close the jump ring.
- Close the clasp, and enjoy your bracelet!
