Retired - Draccus Kumihimo Bracelet

1. To start, watch our video on how to braid beaded kumihimo and make a bracelet.
2. Based on the technique shown in the video, cut eight 30 inch lengths of purple S-lon cord and knot them at one end.
3. On four of the strands, string 50 dragon scale beads. The holes are tiny, but they will fit!
4. On two of the remaining strands, string 50 purple seed beads. On the last two strands, string 50 rose gold seed beads. Wind your threads in the bobbins as shown in the video.
5. Arrange your threads in the grooves of the kumihimo disc in this order: dragon scale between 31 and 32, purple beads between 32 and 1; gold beads between 7 and 8, dragon scale between 8 and 9; dragon scale between 15 and 16, gold beads between 16 and 17; purple beads between 23 and 24, dragon scale between 24 and 25.
6. Begin braiding without beads for about half an inch. Then begin adding beads to your braid.
7. When you reach the end of the beaded section, continue to braid without beads for another half inch.
8. Watch our video on how to tie off and finish kumihimo braid ends. Use another few inches of S-lon to wrap the ends of the braid close to the beading, to add thickness so that the braid ends fit snugly into the cord ends. Trim away the excess braiding.
9. Glue the ends of the braid into the cord ends using E6000. Let dry for a couple of hours.
10. Using your pliers, open a jump ring. Attach the loop of your clasp to the loop of one of the cord ends.
11. Open another jump ring and attach it to the loop of the other cord end. Close your clasp, and you're finished!
