This Centerline earring might just be the perfect accessory for Dorothy's trip to Oz. A turquoise and white checkered beading pattern contrasts with cheerful red stitching and wood accent bead, sure to impress the Wizard!

Instructions

These instructions will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring.

Begin by watching the video: How to Add Beads to a Centerline Cuff. Using what you have learned in the video, cut two 18 inch lengths of red Nymo thread and string on your Big Eye needle. Slide your needle through the end hole on one side of your teardrop pendant, similar to the placement shown in the video.
Add on one turquoise bead, one white bead, and one turquoise bead. Follow along with the video to thread your needle through the end hole directly across the channel from where you entered your needle.
String your next row of beads as follows: white, turquoise, white.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 four more times to continue the beading pattern.
Send your needle through the last hole on one side of your pendant and string on the final row of beads as follows: turquoise, white, turquoise. Follow along with the video to tie off and weave in your thread.
Next, cut 3 inches of wire and create a simple wire loop, latching the loop onto the top hole of your pendant.
String on a 6mm red wood bead. Then string on a 4mm bead cap (see photo for reference). Create a wrapped wire loop above the bead cap.
To hang your earring, gently open the bottom loop of your earring hook and slide on the wrapped wire loop you made in step 7. Close the loop of your earring hook. Enjoy!
