Please watch our video: How to Use the Ricks Beading Loom. Set up your loom so that you have 6 inches from pole to pole. The clasp will add about 1/2 inch to the overall length.
  1. Notes about the Pattern: If you want to adjust the length you may need to adjust the pattern. I recommend starting in the center of the pattern (meaning at the bottom of the first pattern with the grey beads on it) and working your way out to make sure you have enough room on both sides. You can adjust as you get closer to the poles.
  2. Set up the loom with 27 warp threads. Thread your loom needle with a length of thread you are comfortable working with. As you weave you will need to tie off and add new thread.
  3. For this pattern the grey beads represent the matte opaque royal blue beads, then graduate to the opaque light sapphire beads and finally the opaque agate beads. The white lined crystal AB beads are the white backdrop of the pattern.
  4. Weave the loom until you have no more room to add rows. Once you have finished weaving, slide the work off of the loom poles.
  5. Next, please watch: How to Use Slide End Tubes for Miyuki Delica Bead Weaving. In this video you'll see how to slide on your ends to the loom work.
  6. Finally to attach the clasp, open one jump ring and attach it to the loop of one slide end. Close the jump ring. Attach another jump ring to this one, and then add one more. Then open one more jump ring to the last jump ring you added and to one end of the toggle clasp. Complete this for all four clasp portions around the bracelet.

Addendum

I only checked the PDF for this pattern and did not find the photo there. I just found it as a separate option under the photo of the bracelet itself. Still rather small for my (somewhat older) eyes. As I said before, surprised that it wasn't a usual page three in the PDF.

The previous reviewer is correct

It's so unusual to have a bad review here that I had to check the PDF for this bracelet to see what was up. The previous reviewer was right to be frustrated -- you reference a third photo in your reply but, as I said, I checked. There is no third photo, unless you mean the thumbnail on page two of the PDF. Every other file I've used has that third page with the pattern large enough to read. The only photos on this one do not show the entire bracelet. I suspect that a page was omitted in error.

Where is the Pattern

You say you have free loom patterns, but you do not. Why waste my time???

Hello Violet, welcome to Beadaholique. Many of our free beading projects do include loom patterns for reference. You can often find them in the photo gallery and/or on the printer-friendly PDF. With this project, the loom pattern is the third photo and all photos are also on the PDF for you to print out and save. If you ever have problems in the future using our website and don't know where to find things, please reach out to our customer service team. We're here to help!
