Retired - Betsy Necklace

1. Please watch the video: How to Make an Ornate Beaded Bead. Follow along with the video to bead weave your orb using Metallic Bronze 4mm Czech fire polish beads and Ivory Ceylon 11/0 Miyuki round seed beads.
2. To make your chain tassel: Use flush cutters to cut four 2.5 inch lengths of each of the cobalt and burgundy beaded link chains. Note: due to slight irregularities in the chain, you may need to cut extra links in order to achieve the right lengths. Therefore, measure an extra link or two on each section you cut in order to account for loss of length when this happens. Set chains aside.
3. Next, cut 3 inches of 26 gauge wire. On one end of the wire, use pliers to make a wrapped wire loop. Before coiling the loop, slide on the end links of your four 2.5 inch chain lengths. Close the loop.
4. Slide your beaded bead down the remainder of 26 gauge wire so that it rests above the tassel.
5. Now cut four 11 inch lengths of chain.
6. Above the beaded bead, make another wrapped wire loop. Before coiling the loop, slide on the end links of your four 11 inch chain lengths. Close the loop.
7. To attach your extender chain: Open a 4mm jump ring and slide on the end link of your extender chain. Also slide on the opposite end links of two of your 11 inch chains (one burgundy and one cobalt) on one side of your necklace. See photo for reference. Close the jump ring.
8. To attach your clasp: Open another 4mm jump ring and slide on the loop of your lobster clasp. Also slide on the opposite end links of the two 11 inch chains (again, one burgundy and one cobalt) on the other side of your necklace. Close the jump ring.
9. Enjoy your necklace!
