Show off your love of beading by creating this striking strung bracelet that features 6 different peyote patterns that have been wrapped around Czech glass Carrier beads. Adding to the appeal of the design are Austrian crystal pearls and Czech glass Tinos par Puca beads.

Note: The bracelet pictured measures approximately 7 inches when laid flat but a little under 6.5 inches when worn. It is very easy to make it longer and the supplies for this project will be sufficient to make it longer without any additional purchase. Simply choose your favorite peyote pattern and make extra peyote wrapped Carrier beads. Then add extra segments of pearls and Tinos par Puca beads, repeating the pattern of the design.

Begin this project by watching the following two videos which will teach you how to bead weave peyote stitch: How to Flat Odd-Count Peyote Stitch and How to Flat Even-Count Peyote Stitch.
Based upon what you learned in the two above videos and using the bead pattern charts provided, stitch your 6 bead swatches. You will need 40 inches of thread for the even count patterns and 50 inches of thread for the odd count patterns. For all the Carrier beads peyote wraps, they will be 24 beads long and 6 beads wide for the even patterns and 5 beads wide for the odd count patterns. Feel free to make your own patterns!
Next, please watch the ""How to Cover a Carrier Bead in Peyote Bead Weaving"" video shown on our Nottingham Earrings page. In this video you will learn how to zip up your peyote strips and how to add them to a Carrier bead. Do this for all 6 of your beads.
