Retired - Amethyst Fringe Necklace

1. Begin by taking one headpin and thread it up through one of the holes on the side of the fancy stone setting, so the pin is coming out the side. Make a wrapped wire loop. Trim the headpin.
2. Repeat the above step with another headpin on this same side of the setting. (See photo for reference)
3. Thread a length of Nymo onto a needle, about 5 feet.

5. From what you learned in the video, leave a tail of about 1 foot. You will use this tail to attach this piece to the fancy stone setting later.
6. Make your first row 7 bugle beads across.
7. Make one row of gold seed beads along the top of the panel of bugle beads you just strung, as seen in the video.
8. Now to add the fringe, thread down though the bugle bead on the end so that your thread is coming out of the side of the bugle bead panel without the gold beads on it.
9. There will be seven fringe pieces. For the first one, string 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 3 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 3 gold beads. Thread back up through the beads that you just strung skipping the very last gold bead you strung. Thread all the way up until you are through the bugle bead at the top panel. Now thread back down the adjacent bugle bead to begin the next piece of fringe.
10. Order of the fringe: 1) 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 3 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 3 gold beads. (This is the one you've just strung)
11. 2) 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 4 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 4 gold beads.
12. 3) 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 5 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 5 gold beads.
13. 4) 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 6 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 6 gold beads.
14. 5) 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 5 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 5 gold beads.
15. 6) 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 4 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 4 gold beads.
16. 7) 2 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, 3 gold beads, 1 bugle bead, and 3 gold beads.
17. Using your tail at the beginning of your weave. Make sure the tail is coming out of the top of the first gold bead. Thread it up through one of the holes of the fancy stone setting, creating a thread bridge on the inside edge of the setting. Weave down through the second hole of the setting and into the beads below it. Take the other tail and repeat this process by going though the other direction to secure the thread into place. It will look like both threads went up and over the bridge in the setting between the two holes.
18. Tie off and weave in your threads.
19. Open two 6mm jump rings and attach them to each of the wrapped wire loops at the top of the fancy stone setting. Close the jump rings.
20. Cut a length of chain 28 inches. String the chain through the two jump rings.
21. To one end of the chain, attach one 5mm jump ring. Close the jump ring.
22. To the other end of the chain, attach one 5mm jump ring and one lobster clasp. Close the jump ring.
23. For this final step, place the fancy stone into the setting and bend down the prongs with a popsicle stick or other soft tool. You do not want to use pliers, you may scratch your stone.
24. All done!
