Retired - Amazonite Tibetan Buddha Mala

1. Please watch our video: How to Make a Mala. In this video you will see the basic technique for starting, knotting and finishing a Mala as well as some variations and design tips you can use.
2. For this Mala, begin by cutting 10 feet of cord and stringing the tassel to the center of the cord. Tie an overhand knot.
3. Thread both cords through one wood bead and tie another overhand knot. Thread both cords through the tower bead and tie another overhand knot. Thread both cords through the buddha wood bead and tie another overhand knot. Next send the separate cords up and out through the T of the guru bead. Tie a knot on each side.
4. Next, take one side and string on the beads and knot them as shown in the video. Move to the other side and string the beads until you come to a finishing point. Please follow the recommendations for how to finish off the Mala shown in the video.
5. Pattern for a Tibetan Mala: 27 gemstones, 1 gold/1 wood/1 gold, 27 gemstones, 1 gold/1 wood/1 gold, 27 gemstones, 1 gold/1 wood/1 gold, 27 gemstones.
