This gorgeous star cut necklace was tailor made for royalty. The Purple Sardonyx evokes a feeling of strength and courage. Simple graduated strands of gemstones need no embellishment, their lovely facets catch the light and add a sparkle that is an unique as the wearer.

Instructions

For this design you will be making three strands of beads using simple wire loops. Please adjust the length to suit your needs. It may be helpful for you to make the strands and then put together one side of the necklace with the strand reducer then adjusting as needed before finishing the design by adding or subtracting beads.

Take one eye pin. String on one 10mm bead. Make a simple wire loop. Set aside. Repeat 30 times.
Then open and close the simple wire loops, same as you would a jump ring to attach them together to make a chain. Set the chain aside.
Repeat the above two steps to make a chain 41 beads in length of the 8mm beads, and 55 beads in length of the 6mm beads.

So pretty!

This necklace was fun to make. I love the variations of colors in the beads and the result is stunning. I am fairly new to jewelry making and my loops are not quite uniform- this project really made for good practice. Anyway, because my loops are not uniform I did need to add a couple beads to one of the strands. I am going to make some earrings to go with it. Thanks for the beautiful project and tutorial.
