Have a few left over beads from your last peyote project? Wrap them around a channel bead and string on a leather cord for a cool and edgy look.

Instructions

Note that you can cut your leather cord to suit your desired length. If you are unsure, I recommend completing one side of the clasp, testing the length before cutting and finishing the leather on the other side.

Please watch our video: How to Do Flat Even Count Peyote. Using the technique you have learned in the video, create a strip of peyote 8 columns wide by 17 rows in length.
Once you have completed your strip, please watch our video: How to Add Peyote Bead Weaving to a Channel Bead and Finish on a Leather Necklace. In this video you will see how to sew the peyote strip around the channel bead as well as how to finish the look using crimp ends on the leather and add a magnetic clasp.
