Retired - Winter Solstice Ring

1. Begin by watching the video on How to Use Vintaj Patinas and Glaze.
2. Next, look through your assortment of vintage buttons, and select your favorite large domed button. You can make one or more using your materials.
3. Turn your button over, and with your flush cutters, snip off the backing. Try to get as much of it off as possible, allowing your button to lay flat on top of the flat pad on your adjustable ring.
4. Next, based upon what you learned in the video, paint a thin layer of blue patina over the front side of your button. Before it is completely dry, take your white patina and paint a little on by dabbing. You want to get a mostly blue surface, with some slight mixing of the white.
5. Once your button is almost dry, take your relief block and using the side, start sanding the raised areas of your button to show off the detail. Set the button aside, allowing it to dry completely.
6. Once your button is dry, you will begin gluing on your crystal Austrian crystal rhinestones. Use your glue applicator to add small dollops of glue onto your button, and use your mini magical pick to add on each rhinestone flatback. I scattered 30 rhinestones, somewhat evenly, across my button.
7. Once you are done, set aside to dry for a few minutes.
8. Next, take an adjustable ring, and add a dab of E6000 glue onto the flat pad. Gently place your button onto the center of the ring and press down. Hold the button down for a minute or two, and then set aside to dry.
9. Your ring is done!
