- Before you begin, you may find it helpful to watch the instructional videos: How to Make Wire Loops Correctly and How to Open and Close Jump Rings. These principles will be used quite a bit in this project.
- Begin by cutting an 18" length of antique silver plated 3 mm cable chain with a pair of flush cutters.
- Place a 6 mm light rose round Austrian crystal crystal bead onto a 1", 22 gauge silver plated head pin and make a simple wire loop after the bead using a pair of wire looping pliers. Repeat this process with six more round crystal beads and with four antique silver plated diamond cut out round beads.
- Take a 1.5", 22 gauge silver plated eye pin and place onto it a 4 mm crystal Austrian crystal bicone bead, then a pewter flying pig focal bead, and then a second bicone bead. Use the wire looping pliers to create a wrapped wire loop after the top bicone bead.
- Use the wire loop on the head pin of one of the round crystal beads to hang the bead from the bottom of the focal bead eye pin. Then, use a 4 mm, 22 gauge silver plated jump ring to hang the focal bead eye pin from the center link on your length of chain.
- Use the wire loops on the head pins to hang a round crystal bead from each side of the chain about 1.25" up from the focal bead.
- Skip four links in the chain and then hang a diamond cut out bead from each side of the chain by the wire loop on the head pins.
- Continue to alternate hanging round crystal beads and diamond cut out bead every 5th link on both sides of the chain until each side has 3 round crystal beads and 2 star filigree beads. See photos for reference.
- Open up the loop on the hook from an antique silver plated pewter hook and eye clasp and attach it to the last link on one end of the chain. Then open up one of the loops on the eye part of the clasp and attach it to the last link on the other end of the chain.
