This long necklace is wonderful for layering while giving you a lovely focal of silver feathers and turquoise seed beads.

Instructions

This necklace measures approximately 36 inches. To modify the length, simply adjust the length of chain on both sides respectively.

Open one jump ring and attach it to the loop of the large feather charm. Repeat to add another jump ring to the small feather charm. Set aside.
Take one eye pin and string on one turquoise seed bead, one saucer bead and one turquoise bead. Make a simple wire loop. Set aside.
Cut a length of leather cord 32 inches and another length of 4 inches.
Take the length of 4 inches of leather and crimp one end into the end cap as seen in this video: How to Make a Crimped Leather Cord Earring. String on 7 turquoise beads, the jump ring of the small feather, 1 turquoise bead, the jump ring of the large feather and then 7 turquoise. Place the second side into the crimp cord end.
Take the length of 32 inches of leather and crimp one end into the end cap as done before. String on 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, and 1 silver bead. Before placing the second side into the leather crimp, string 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, 1 silver bead, 3 turquoise beads, and 1 silver bead. Place the second side into the crimp cord end.
Finally, open the eye pin, same as you would a jump ring, and attach it to one loop of the leather crimp cord end. Close the loop. Move to the other side of the eye pin and attach the second cord end. Close the loop.

If you're having trouble stringing on the seed beads to the leather, try cutting the leather at an angle to create more of a needle-like point.
