Before you begin please note that if you have purchased a fresh spool of flat Artistic Wire, I recommend that you start at one end and do not cut it before you are finished bending the waves. This helps to not waste any of the flat wire.
- You will need about 6 inches of flat wire for this project. Begin by taking the wubbers pliers and use the small prong to make a small loop.
- Then wrap the wire around the large prong in the opposite direction to make one wave. Continue to make the waves by wrapping the wire around the prongs, moving the wubbers as you go. Keep all the waves uniform with the small loop on top and the large loop on the bottom.
- Complete five small loops and four large loops as shown. Cut the wire at the end of the last loop and using the pliers bend in to complete the "wave".
- Cut a piece of 28 gauge wire 24 inches long. Beginning on the outer edge of the wave piece, wrap three times clockwise around the flat wire and come out the front.
- Thread on one 4mm bead, then come around the back of the wave piece and wrap three and a half times counterclockwise around both parts of flat wire in the next wave and come out the back.
- Thread on one 4mm bead, then come around the front and wrap four times clockwise around both parts of flat wire in the next wave, come out the front.
- Thread on one 4mm bead, then come around the back of the wave piece and wrap three and a half times counterclockwise around both parts of flat wire in the next wave.
- Thread on one 4mm bead, then come around the front and wrap three and a half times clockwise around the last part of flat wire in the final curve wave. Cut the wire and tuck in the end. Set this completed piece aside.
- Cut your chain into two 9 inch pieces.
- Open one jump ring and attach one end of one piece of chain to the jump ring. Attach this open jump ring to one of the small loops of the wire wrapped wave piece. Close the jump ring. Repeat this step on the other side of the wire wrapped wave piece.
- Open a jump ring and attach it to one end of the chain. Close the jump ring.
- Open a jump ring and attach it to the other end of the chain. Attach a lobster clasp to the jump ring. Close the jump ring.
