End to end, this bracelet measures about 7 1/2 inches. To make it longer, simply cut longer wire lengths and add more beads to each strand.
- For this project you will need 12 strands, about 9" long each of the beading wire. Using flush cutters, cut your wires.
- Start by taking one of your 9" strands and thread it through one of the 12 holes of the stand reducer. Add a crimp tube on to that wire, thread the other end of the wire into the crimp bead forming a loop around the stand reducer. Try to get the crimp bead as close to the strand reducer as possible. Pull the wire tight so that you have at least 8 inches on one side. Crimp the crimp tube around the wires. Trim the short end of the wire, close to the crimp.
- Repeat this process 11 more times until all your cut wires are threaded onto the stand reducer and crimped.
- Once you have all of your wire set, you are ready to being beading. I kept my beads random to create this look. One thing to keep in mind is to keep track of how many beads are on each wire. For the my bracelet I used 85 beads. By being consistent you can be sure they will all be the same length. When you finish a strand, add a crimp bead and put a bead stopper on the end. Then go back and repeat the beading on the other 11 wires.
- Once all your wires have been beaded, very carefully remove the beads stoppers on strands number 2 and 3 and thread on the Lock pendant. Replace the bead stoppers. Following the same directions, thread the Key pendant on strand number 6 and 7.
- Now you can attach all of your wires to the other strand reducer, in the same manner as before with the crimp bead. Note: you will notice that your strand reducers have a smooth side and textured side, just make sure that both the textured sides or both the smooth sides are facing up when you attach your beads to this second strand reducer.
- To attach the clasp simply open your jump ring and link it to the small loop on the round part of your toggle clasp and the outer loop in the strand reducer. Repeat this step on the other side of your bracelet with the toggle bar.
