This design makes a 16 inch necklace. If you want the necklace to be longer, simply purchase and string on additional 5mm pearls at the beginning and the end of your design. Every 5 pearls adds approximately 1 inch to your overall length. You can also just add more of the 6mm pearls mid way into the design, the project bundle comes with more pearls then you end up using, so you would not need to purchase anything else.
- Cut 22 inches of beading wire and place a bead stopper 3 inches from the end.
- Onto your beading wire, string on: one crimp tube, nine 5mm pearls, one 4x2mm crystal rondelle, ten 5mm pearls, one 4x2mm crystal rondelle, five 5mm pearls, one 6mm pearl, one 4x2mm crystal rondelle, one 6mm pearl, one 4x2mm crystal rondelle, one 6mm pearl, one 4x2mm crystal rondelle, one 6mm pearl, one 4x2mm crystal rondelle, one 8mm pearl, one 5x2.5mm crystal rondelle, one 8mm pearl, one 5x2.5mm crystal rondelle, one 10mm pearl, one 8x3.4mm rondelle, one 10mm pearl, one 8x3.4mm rondelle, one 12mm pearl, one 10x3.7mm crystal rondelle.
- String on one more 12mm pearl. You are now at the exact mid way point. Repeat the previous step in reverse order to string the other half of your necklace. Make sure to string on the crimp tube at the end.
- Once you have strung your beads, loop your beading wire tail through the loop on one side of your clasp. Now go back down through your crimp tube as well as several adjacent pearls. Crimp your crimp bead and trim off the tail.
- Go to the other side of your necklace and remove your bead stopper. Loop your beading wire tail through the loop on the other side of the clasp. Now go back down through your crimp tube as well as several adjacent pearls. Pull your beading snug so that there are no large gaps between the beads but not so snug that the necklace becomes stiff. Crimp your crimp bead and trim off the extra wire tail.
- Place crimp bead covers over your crimp tubes.
- Enjoy!
