Stainless steel curb and cable chains give these versatile earrings a clean and contemporary look. Complementary earring hooks and jump rings make for a sleek and cohesive design. Stainless steel is a durable metal, both tarnish resistant and water-safe.

Instructions

By following the instructions below, you will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring. Because stainless steel is a stiff metal, we recommend using heavy duty flush cutters for this project.

To begin, use heavy duty flush cutters to cut the following lengths of stainless steel chain: 1.5 inches of 2.2mm cable chain, 2 inches of 2.7mm curb chain, 2.5 inches 4x3mm cable chain, 2.25 inches of 2.7mm curb chain, and 1.75 inches of 2.2mm cable chain.
Use pliers to open a 4mm jump ring, and slide on one end link of each of the chain lengths from step 1 in the order listed. Close the jump ring.
Open the loop of your earring hook and slide it onto the jump ring between the 2.2mm cable chains so that the chain lengths fall in the order shown in the photo. Close the loop and you're all done!
