Retired - Spiked Strap Necklace

1. Using your flush cutters, cut two 15" lengths of black flat faux leather cord.
2. Onto each end of both lengths, attach a silver plated ribbon crimp end using your chain nose pliers.
3. Next, using your chain nose pliers open a silver plated jump ring and attach it onto one of the ribbon crimp loops on one end of one faux leather cord length. Close the jump ring up. Open up another jump ring and slide it onto that previous jump ring. Before closing, also slide on the loop from your silver plated lobster clasp and close.
4. Repeat this process on one side of your second faux leather length, instead only adding on 2 jump rings onto your ribbon crimp end. You will be closing the clasp by attaching it onto the second jump ring. The back portion of your necklace is done.
5. Next, open up a silver plated jump ring and slide it through one of the ribbon crimps on the opposite side of your necklace. Also slide on the last link from one side of your 12" long chain and close.
6. Open and attach another jump ring onto the last link on the other end of your chain and the loop from the ribbon crimp on the other length of faux leather. Close the jump ring. The front portion of your necklace is done. You will now begin adding your silver plated spikes onto the faux leather lengths.
7. Lay your faux leather lengths flat in front of you. Using your pen, mark five 1" marks on both lengths of faux leather starting from the bottom near the ribbon crimp ends. See photo.

9. Following what you learned in the video, punch your 5 holes on the 5 pen marks using the number 3 hole size. If you need to clean up around the holes, simply use your flush cutters.
10. Next, open up your first screwback spike studd and place the bottom portion under your faux leather and gently push it up through your punched hole.
11. Repeat this step 9 more times and screw on all 10 screw back spike beads.
12. You're done!
